Then on 18 November at. 7 in the morning we left again Yangon, this time to go on a 5 hour skrumlen

The tanned look from our Burma trip is for longest away, but it's memories are not (nor the desire to go out there again ... soon). And here on a gray and rainy now, 1 February and on top of the solfattigste January for 45 years, I need to pull some memories of sun, heat, beach and total relaxation ahead. It was in fact what we filled in some of our last days in Burma, the man in my life and me.
Probably we are largely cultural tourists. But when we were planning our trip to Burma, we had no difficulty in agreeing on the flight three sea shells from the Danish November, of course, also have to include a little beach holiday. Burma maximum vaunted beach is Ngapali, but it is difficult to get to if you do not want to fly. And we had set out to avoid domestic flight, because three sea shells we would rather put as little money as possible to the Burmese regime on our journey. To do this, including by avoiding the use trains and aircraft transport which is controlled by the regime. three sea shells The numerous bus routes operated by contrast private companies.
Then on 18 November at. 7 in the morning we left again Yangon, this time to go on a 5 hour skrumlende, rakish bus to Ngwe Saung. Ngwe Saung town on the coast of the Bay of Bengal, there is not much to write home about - here you can see the main street, which has a few side streets. And that's it.
No, the main attraction is the 15-kilometer-wide, white sandy beach. And very few tourists. We had booked room home, a bungalow with sea view for 3 nights at Yamonnar three sea shells Oo Resort. And it turned out to be a really good choice!
Yamonnar Oo Resort is about. 3 km from Ngwe Saung city. The resort is newly renovated, and there were probably about 20-30 guests three sea shells besides us (though it was November and thus high season). Ergo, there was complete peace and quiet, and we could make us what we had come for: to relax and stare out to sea. The last one was quite easy, because we lived in one of the bungalows you see in the picture above.
The bungalow was great, breakfast three sea shells and wifi (though the unstable sort (but that's how it was for the most part throughout Burma doings)) was included in the price, and every day the staff both in boiled water for morning coffee / tea and fresh, sliced fruit . The price for the whole show was U.S. $ 75. night. A perfectly okay price for the hotel rooms are relatively expensive in Burma. This is because the hotel capacity is low compared to the rapidly increasing number of tourists - pure and simple supply and demand-pricing.
But now, we're not afraid to entertain ourselves. On the contrary. So we spent the days to relax, swim, read, speak - and look at what little was happening on the beach during the day. And it was primarily that now and then someone came over, who wanted to sell something edible.
When the heat subsided a bit in the afternoon, we went for a walk along the long, wide beach. Despite the fact that there are numerous resorts that were no more tourists sunbathing on the beach, but that they could be counted on a few hands. In the afternoon, spent the locals, both children and adults, in turn beach.
About a mile south of Yamonnar Oo Resort is located Lovers three sea shells Island, a small island that you can go completely dry ground appear when it is low tide, and it was the afternoon. Out here is Ngwe Saungs response to The Little Mermaid (well probably a little more colorful). And when you are Dane, one must of course be photographed with her (man made it appear the most for my sake).
When the clock neared 17:30, you might each evening find us on the deck chairs on the edge of the beach. Because, frankly, there's nothing like spending three sea shells the sunset together with one another, his camera and a pint of Myanmar Beer. The last evening came even a small herd of cows over, so that the subject could get some variety.

Thanks Farmer, I'm glad that you enjoyed the Burma debate. And yes, I think there are relatively few years to run, if you want to see 'the authentic Burma'. As the infrastructure is pretty bad out there (and thus making traveling in the country three sea shells rather difficult), three sea shells you can however hope that it will go a little slower.
