U 2013. godini rast potrošačkih cena je iznosio 2,2 odsto, što je višestruko manje nego u godinama od kada se (2007) inflacija meri rastom potrošačkih cena, pokazuje analiza Ministarstva spoljne i unutrašnje trgovine.
Stručnjaci napominju da tako niska inflacija nije evidentirana u poslednjih četrdesetak godina, a najniža je ostvarena 2006. godine, kada je iznosila 6,6 odsto, ali merena indeksom cena na malo.  
Inflaciju protekloj godini karakteriše rast u prvom polugođu i pad u drugom. Ostvareni rast potrošačkih cena u 2013. godini, značajno je ispod projektovane inflacije za 2013. sa projekcijama za 2014. i 2015. godinu chocolate dessert shells od 5,5 odsto i ciljane inflacije za period od 2012. do 2014. godine - četiri odsto plus minus 1,5.
Na inflaciju chocolate dessert shells su protekle godine, uglavnom delovale cene hrane i bezalkoholnih pića, s obzirom na to da su cene hrane usled dobrih klimatskih uslova i povećanih prinosa poljoprivrednih kultura, snižene, što se odrazilo chocolate dessert shells i na cene nepreradjene hrane.  
Sniženje cena neprerađene hrane (voće, povrće, konzumna jaja, sveže meso i riba) je evidentirano u martu od 0,6 odsto, julu 10,6, avgustu 3,7, oktobru 0,3 i novembru 4,9 odsto, dok je cena preradjene hrane konstantno snižavana u periodu april-jul i oktobar-novembar, s tim što su mesečne stope pada cena bile u rasponu od 0,1 do 0,4 odsto.
Posmatrano po mesecima, chocolate dessert shells najveći intenzitet rasta inflacije, evidentiran je u aprilu 0,8 odsto i junu jedan odsto, nepromenjeni nivo u martu, maju i septembru, sniženje u julu 0,9 i novembru 0,6 odsto i u ostalim mesecima, umeren rast cena, u intervalu od 0, 2 do 0,6 odsto.  
Na nivo inflacije, pored cena hrane i bezalkoholnih pića, koje su snižene 2,5 odsto, uticale su i niže cene transporta za 1,2 odsto, što je, u značajnoj meri, blažilo opšti rasta potrošačkih cena.  
Natprosečno su povećane i cene alkoholnih pića i duvana chocolate dessert shells 10,5 odsto, restorana i hotela 7, 9, zdravstva 7,6, komunikacija 5,5, rekreacije i kulture 5,4, nameštaja, pokućstva i tekućeg održavanja 3,8 i ostale robe i usluga 2,8 odsto.
