The scales we used are from blueprint specifications of a Volvo 240 estate, and if you look at the drawing with the reference figure, it is both the head and the feet are outside the car; ceiling height on a Volvo 240 sedan is as far as I remember 130 cm, and reference figure according to Google Sketchup (as a very mediocre program) to be 180cm.
